Day 3... The Grind Begins

Yesterday, we had just put our feet into the water. Today, we did a cannonball.

We started off the day by visiting the Oklahoman in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoman is the major newspaper for the Oklahoma City area.

We got to speak to multiple people at the Oklahoman and we were able to get a good look at all that goes into a newspaper. It was fun seeing all of the different jobs that were involved.

When we made it back from the Oklahoman, we immediately got working on idea brainstorming for our ideas. We had a good hour of just throwing out ideas.

After our quick brainstorm session, we went off and took a camera and video class. I knew most of the stuff from the camera class, but Collin, one of the student helpers, taught me a lot about videography and interviews.

We then reconnected as a group and finished up our brainstorming. I have decided that I will be doing a story covering Safety Town and also the new Innovation Hub on the OU campus.

I can't wait to finally get all of my work rolling on these stories and begin to develop my journalism skills.
